Potamon Dam:

Many species of birds and animals are beginning to emerge in the region. Visitors of the wider area visit the dam and admire the really beautiful scenery!


Agios Antonios gorge:

The name of the gorge comes from the village Patsos built at the foot of the mount Soros at an altitude of 490 meters. The area has rich flora due to the numerous springs in the wider area with water all over the year.


Spili:

Spili is an ideal destination in the centre of the village square with the two huge plane trees, is Kefalovrisi (i.e. prime spring) as it is called. This is a series of 25 fountains with the form of a lion head from the mouths of which 330 cubic meters of water flow every hour, rich in iron and has a constant temperature at 13 °C. Around Kefalovrisi, you‘ll meet several taverns with genuine Cretan cuisine, coffee shops and folk art shops.  

 

Kourtaliotis gorge:

The Gorge of Kourtaliotis is one of the most spectacular natural attractions of Rethymnon. The huge cliffs of the canyon reach a height of 600 meters and are full of openings and caves, where significant fauna species live. 

Kalypso beach:

Kalypso is very impressive, to say the least as it is surrounded by high rocks. The small port was used as shelter by pirates about 300 years ago.

Damnoni beach:

For swimming and food with a view to the South Cretan Sea. Damnoni is a popular beach is a long bay with beautiful turquoise waters and coarse whitish sand. Here you will find all the services of a well-organized beach such as umbrellas, snack bars, showers, changing rooms, water sports.
